Thanks troy i am glad you like the site.
With our transmission ..we are still using the c6 with trans brake , reverse pattern ect ect . It was built 8 years ago by BOB GRANT AUTOMATICS and is maintained by BOB GRANT AUTOMATICS in brisbane and you may not be aware but the convertors are a crucial part to the transmissions survival. I had my convertor done by THE CONVERTOR SHOP in brisbane ..Who built your trans? when was it done ? How much power are you putting through it?

Cheers

Jeff, great to hear that you ran at the winters , shame about the bloody rain on the saturday , we all could have done with some more laps. Good to see that the xa xb and xc hardtops are becoming so popular.
Cheers Jai

Hey Jai, My auto is about 1 and half years old It keeps twisting valve bodies.the engine is making around 620 hp at the moment but its getting a bit of an upgrade in the next few months so we are hoping for some more out of it. I will be getting the auto redone at the time so I am sussing out some transmission places to have it built.

Do you have an aluminium pan to stiffen the case up.That is a big hole in the bottom of the case and the pan helps .I have an old pic of a steel girdle to go on the c6 case to stiffen it up.I guess that is how they used to do it years ago but the pan will do the same thing. What happens to yours when the V.B twists? A c6 i used to look after a few years ago in a race car would stick the shifts valves occasionally, would free it all up and it would be fine for a fair while but then it only had a steel pan.

Hey gregaust yeah I have an alloy deep pan now. Yeah mine starts to stick in gear but I have definetly done something worse to the box now, when I go from park to first it takes a few seconds to engage first gear and the shift from 2nd to 3rd feels like it is slipping big time. I'm no gearbox expert at all so I have no clue as what could be wrong with it.
Thanks Troy

We do NOT use an aluminium pan nor do we have a girdle . BOB GRANT AUTOMATICS have invested an extensive amount of time in reasearch and development into the C series transmissions on and off the track. We are putting almost 800 hosepower and over 600 foot pounds of torque through ours with no twists or shift problems . I will admit that we did have a few problems at first when the trans was done 10 years ago but with the r&d bob grant done we now have a reliable RACE TRANS.
xc_460 i have sent you a pm

Hey Jai,

Nice ET last meet man, well done. Good to see the hardest hitting super stock cars coming out of rural areas too, people on here would be amazed at the work and constant $$ these super stock cars take.

Well done again mate.
