Default my time as an AU owner is limited

Hey guys,

Just letting some of you regulars know my time in the AU fold is limited now.

For those who don't already know, I've just bought a Subaru Liberty GT as a company lease car and now moving the AU on.

Priorities change, and if I had the room I would keep it, but I don't so the car and all the parts for it have gotta go. Check out the ad for it in the for sale section. I prefer to sell it to someone on these forums who I know would appreciate it for what it is. It's been an excellent car and definitely the most reliable falcon I have owned and I have owned quite a few falcons in my time.

This isn't goodbye, but it will mean my contributions will become less which I am sure some of you will enjoy...lol.

Good luck with the sale mate, it really is priced to sell..

I had contemplated buying this for my missus, but seeing as I'll be on the road traveling I decided against it as she's not really mechanically minded enough to make any repairs should the need arise..

Good luck with selling it.

Cheers for the well wishes guys.

As far as the car being high maintenance its not. servicing and up keep is no different to if it were aspirated.

In 2000 I had a AUII before the company upgraded me. It was a great car. I thought that was going to be it, in terms of owning an AU.

The BA they gave me next was a Monday car. Never had so many problems with a car.....Anyway changed jobs, 2 kids later and I find myself back to owning an AU.

You never know where life is going to take you.
Well, in my case I did, cause when I changed jobs I ended up with a 4 cylinder camry after the BA. Least you have a Subaru Lib - a great car - makes separation from the AU easier. Enjoy!!

Thanks for your experience mate. I've had one other lib before and it was actually the most reliable car ever owned. was fantastic. that was an n/a version. this one had boost so less likely to sell due to it being underpowered. plus resale at the end of the lease is a big factor.

Times change for sure. I hope that it's the car you end up saying in 10-20 years time, I should never have sold it!

Sorry to lose another AUvian.

Saw that. Lovely looking. I showed both to the Mrs, could hardly stop the drool from flowing! Her response was not worth discussing! LOL!

Pathetic effort Shav

I've still got mine parked out in the yard. Only gets a run every week or so but is very handy when family visits from out of town.

Can't you find some excuse to hang on to it?

Ive tried ron. I'm in no rush to flog it off quick, but at the same time it would be a shame to see it sit on the front lawn exposed to the elements. That would be the only place to keep it. I just have no room. Otherwise I would hang on to it tooth and nail.

6k aint much

would rather keep it and find some way to let it rot in the backyard for that coin

definetely hang onto it, until you find more coin in the future to do all the things you planned on. My wife has an '08 Liberty (n/a) and i thought it was fantastic, but the novelty wore off real quick when i realized how much i loved jumping into the AU, especially for family trips

That's a far point. Again, I would prefer to keep it if I could give it a good place to rest. The mrs wouldn't be happy but I'm not prepared to sell it for a insane price. 6k is my bottom dollar limit, and I will wait for the right enthusiast to buy it (with all the extra parts inc.) at that price.

Will just have to be patient I guess.

Haven't got it yet. The stupid bank has been dragging its feet in getting the funds to the dealer. So hoping its in the next day or 2 as it needs to register on the dealers account as paid. Then they need a day to detail the car before they hand over the keys.

My car isn't a wrx Daymow. :-P

I have registered with the asn.liberty forums which I think is more appropriate and they have been more than helpful for a noob like me.

Uploading pics of the interior or the falcon now.
