Default some good news

hey guys, just wanted to share.

some of you know I am a target archer, shooting a barebow recurve.

I shot at a QRE (qualifying & ranking event) on the 29th december, a 50m shoot, with a morning score of 453/720 & afternoon score of 456/720. Now I though these were good scores at the time, def PB's.

Was I surprised to get an email from Archery NSW, confirming that I had shot both a State & National Record !!

now i definitely need to get my Theraputic Use Exemption for my meds sorted out!!

Well done!

I Bow to your new records! I bet you were all a Quiver. The only Drawback I see, is others keeping Tabs on your future Targets. ;)

PS: couldn't help myself with the puns. Genuinely great stuff!

Good stuff...........I'm guessing that a Barebow is something like the old English Longbow ?

well done hawk girl
.
I'm not 100% sure but I think the bow doesn't have stabilisers nor sights. there are probably other differences.

aw shucks thanks everyone!

thefargo is correct. Its a bow like the ones in the olympics (recurve) but with no sights, stabilisers, clickers.... technically the entire bow has to fit through a 122cm ring to be legal for comp.

a longbow is different again. I have a borrowed one (45lb draw) but will get my own soon

Ah, thanks. I used to watch them in medieval demonstrations when I was a kid (Yeah, I'm a Pom)

Those things were taller than me !!
