Default Manual BA turbo times

Best time I have done in mine is a 12.8@112mph.
Stock clutch(though it was its last hoorah)
Stock Dunlop 235/45/17 tyres
1.9 second 60 foot.
Done at willowbank in October.

I know autos are much faster.
Suttys car has the same rwhp and with M/T street radials has run a 11.8!

Going to willowbank on Thursday night
Should be a nice cool night. :

Well done mate 1.9 is a decent 60 foot on dunlops.
Is Sutty's car a manual F6 or XR6T?
If its a manual, it may be the quickest manual time for XR6T or F6.
uptil now we have seen 12.01.

I thought you would have had a faster 60' with mt's
whether you run toyo or dunlop there is a big diference to MT's
You gave away nearly .4 of a second and managed the same et with a 4 mph gain.
Just trying to compair apples with apples!
Is that fair enough?

Nice 60'..

I did a 2.4sec 60' to go 12.80 @ 116mph with 390rwhp In my F6 Tornado.. ( WA )

Stock Dunlops with 40psi. Injectors and Cat. Stock everything else and hardcover etc..

F6Tornado ( In WA ) went 2.2 60' 12.74 @ 114mph with 415rwhp, stock tyres, exhaust and injectors only. Hardcover and factory air filter in both..

Both run in around 25 deg in November last year I think?????

Hoping to get out in the next couple of weeks for the last meeting to lower it a bit in the MUCH colder air.

Go the manuals..

13.02@111.52 2.121 60'
13.04@112.00 2.136 60'
on nangkang 235-45-17
pb done on factory dunlops

best I could do !

Traction was huge problem. Breaks into axle tramp.
Played with tyre pressures.
Started at 20 psi I thought it was going to break a cv!
Down to 15psi better but still there!
Sutty said he would let me use his MT's next time out.
What do you recon?

Yeah I know your saying
but I really wanted to see how far you can go in street trim.
I know if I soften up the suspension and have sticky tyres it will run much faster. The MPH tells you that. : lol

Just becareful mate, Unfortuantly with the sticky tyres comes the chance of breaking the CV's, like mine did. Im making billet ones atm.

With your hp, I doubt CVs are a worry yet.

If you want to go faster, you'll need to swap out your diff centre for a 3.45 or similar, or drop the rear brakes so you can fit a taller 15" M/T to change ratios. Try and get ur hands on some 255/50/ 16" M/T's. these are about the only tyre which will allow you to retain stock prem rear brakes and change ur ratio..

IMO, dropping tyre pressure is a wates of time on street tyres. The extra grip ( if any ) is not of benefit proportional to the extra rolling resistance created later down the track..

As soon as you get extra power with stock gearing, you'll need to change into 5th, which will rob you of a few 1/10ths.

As it is, my 115/116mph runs have me way over optimum revs before hitting the tape, she's out of puff and really wanting a gear change. I need to drop my gearing to go much quicker..

2c anyway..

Hey Paul, one thing to remember is you probably get a better launch on the street with street tyres than you would on a track. So put some sticky ones on and go for it. But be carefull and good luck

Fair call about picking 5th.How much are the 255/50/16 M/T's?
what pressure dpow you run them at?

what pressure dpow you run them at?
They cost around $250/$290 each depending where you get them.

I always ran the MT streets at about 16psi cold (go to 18psi when warm), have run them at 23psi but you can tell stright away when you do your burnout there not as grippy

My best 60's on the street radials were done on 10-12 psi, I have photos of them with the walls wrinkling like drag slicks.
