I don't use cruise control very much. So this might be a dumb question. How do you turn it on ? The manual has an arrow pointing to a 'dial' on the left side of the steering column between Set + and Set -. To some that might mean push it in but it can only move in 2 ways - up or down.
OK, this is what I tried. I'm driving along at say 70kph and I lever the 'dial' switch up. Nothing on the information display - no cruise control on. I lever the 'dial' switch down. Nothing on the information display - no cruise control on.. Sometimes it seems that the 'dial' switches on the speed limiter. I also tried pushing the Set+ button for about 5 secs and also tried pushing the Set- button for about 5 secs. No cruise control. Is the CC broken or is my understanding faulty ? Thanks to whoever takes the time to reply. Paul |

Regardless if 12 model or 13 onwards. Also ignore LHD pic.
1- press to turn on Cruise control, or off. 2- reach desired speed and press this will set car at speed. 3- will cancel set speed or resume last set speed if CC hasnt been turned off. Set+/Set- will speed up or slow down by pressing those. hope this helps!

The circled 1 is the on button, after you turn it on, press the + to set the speed to whatever you are traveling. Once it's on, the + and - will adjust your speed faster or slower. The reset cancel button will do 2 things. Pressed when on cruise, cruise will cancel, if you either use the brakes, or clutch in a manual cruise will automatically disengage, so if pressed it will reset to the previous speed.

I use the speed limit function just as much, it works in 5 km/h increments, activate button is labelled LM along side of the cruise button. Works great without getting into trouble with the law....

Thanks for your replies, guys.
Thanks for the image DJM. My CC button is slightly different. It has 2 controls: it seems that push down to the left for cruise, push down to the right for speed limit (LM). So perhaps I'm guilty of pushing it the wrong way for cruise. Thanks for making me look at it again. |
