Default Particulate filter

Just wondering if anyone can help me out here. Im in discussion with a manufacturer for the tuning chips for the TDCi focus and he asked me if the
2008 Focus TDCi has a DPF? (Particulate filter).

Quote:
Do you know if your 2008 Focus has a DPF? (Particulate filter).

If it does it could be hit and miss whether a tuning box like this works due to the engine being more sensitve. If not dont worry we offer a 14 day money back gaurantee if it doesnt for any reason.
Does anyone know?

Thanks
Loris

Yes you are correct, however, I believe the 2008 model ls TDCI is fitted with a DPF
If you check out the Castrol,Mobil,Shell,Havoline,Valvoline etc sites...You will see that they sometimes recommend different Engine Oils for the 2008 Model as opposed to the 2007 Model...Cheers!

well if thats the case, i now understand why the tuning chip didnt do much for me..

long story short; i purchased the tuning box fitted it.. been running it in for a week now and seen little to no gain in power.. certainly not what they say it can achieve. ive also been regularly getting engine system faults in the dash when giving it a bit a stick..
ill be in 3rd or 4th almost redlining it and the engine just cuts out..
so yer seen no fuel economy gains either.. so in the process of getting refund unless someone here wants it..

Cheers,
Loris
