Default FJ lookalike (SSR Chev)

On way to work this morning was following what I 1st thought was a super neat custom FJ ute... Turns out it was actually a Chev SSR...
Did a google & found the actual car on Ebay.

Apart from the convertable roof, its otherwise pretty cool
Although, it looks almost looks like a Peugeot 206 CC made into a big *** ute.
Not a bad effort though.

Saw a yellow one in Frankston about 3 months ago with Vic plates – certainly stands out in a crowd. The later (6.0 litre) model is apparently the one to go for. As a cruiser rather than a workhorse they have a lot of appeal.

If you watch NAScar, the pace car is usually one of these.

And if you play GT4 you can race one. I race it all the time.

Its ugly in real life. It looks better on the game.

IMHO i think its FUGLY.

To me retro cool was the initial Mustang concept, that somehow was magled into the current mustang, this thing looks like a VW Beattle on steriods and ute-back.

They sound really nice, but dont actually go as fast as they sound. My friends 96 camaro in the states can easily take one, we compared, lol.

The FX and FJ look like miniaturised 40's Chevs. Right down to the straight 6, the Chev version is the physical size of a Landcruiser motor though, they look the same apart from size.
