Hey guys!
My best mate is turning 21 this weekend and he is a Ford fanatic. He's had a BF Fairmont Ghia MkII and now drives a FG XR6. As he's been on his P's, he has always fantasizes about Turbo Fords, in particular the F6s. I couldn't think of what to buy him but then i thought he'd absolutely LOVE to go for a spin in a FPV BA/BF/FG F6 or a worked XR6T. So basically, I want to give him that as a gift. I'm willing to pay someone $100 to take my mate for a spin for say 20-30mins in the TAYLORS HILL area of Victoria this weekend on Saturday the 2nd of October during anytime in the day... I realise the Grand Final is on... again... So it'll be fine if you want to take him before, after or during the game. He won't be watching it (bulldogs aren't playing) so during the game will be fine if you want to do it then. The cars i'm looking for preferably with some engine work done are: - FPV FG F6 - FPV BF F6 Typhoon - FPV BA F6 Typhoon - FG XR6 Turbo - FG G6E Turbo - BF XR6 Turbo Shoot me a text on 0418 539 121 - Damian, with the following information: Your Name: Your Car: Work Done to it: Time you're available: In summary, I'm looking for a Ford Turbo preferably with work done, to drive my mate around for 20-30mins for his 21st birthday to show him what to look forward to in the future. Help me out, get some quick cash and jump on this offer! Cheers |

I'll let him drive my car, it isn't a turbo, but I'll make the whooshing noises with my mouth.
Sututututu.

I am local and always happy to take people I know for a ride in or even let them drive my F6. I think though what your mate is after is a demonstration and not something that would interest me, on the road anyways.
My ride only had a mild tune anyways and I think you might be after something perhaps with a blow off valve and 4" exhaust. Good luck.

Can't be too careful these days, but how would any of us know that your mate isnt in fact an undercover officer out on some sting operation?
Maybe pop down to a couple of Ford dealers and get your mate to ask the salesperson to give him a demonstration? |

if he drives an FG xr6 then why doesn't he go to a dealer and just test drive a turbo model or an F6?

And IMHO, I think if you are willing to give someone $100, you could buy a pretty decent present with that, but not a drive round in a Falcon. Go buy him $100 worth of porn lol

As i mentioned, it's his birthday, and I wanted to surprise him. I obviously don't expect you to exceed the speed limit or do burnouts or anything like that, I thinking more along the lines of taking him for a cruise, maybe do a freeway onramp squirt and take him home. Of course he could just go to a dealer and drive one but that's not a gift from me. I am looking for an enthusiast who was willing to take a ford nut for a spin. As a P-Plater, we can't drive anything good, so we just end up talking about the "day i'll get a turbod car or a V8"... I thought, instead of just talking crap, it'd be awesome if he could experience the real thing and give him something to aspire to. I didn't want to buy the kid something, it's not outside the box enough. I HIGHLY doubt cops would waste their time trying to get someone to drive them around to book em... lol... I'm happy to meet up with the you if you want before saturday... If not, then at least i've tried. |

It's your best mates 21st, spend up a bit more and get him some laps in a V8 supercar, where he gets to actually drive it. Bit more than a hundred but then my best mates 21st is just around the corner and I'm spending closer to $500...

Come on guys leave the stupid responses out if you've nothing constructive to add.
Im sure someone will be able to help you out and I dont think its a bad idea for a present, not sure if I'd actually let him drive but surely a ride along isnt going to hurt anyone.

If you were in my area I would love to, I personally think this is a great idea. Something that would put a smile on your mates face... Not just something added to the pile of gifts. Hope you find someone mate.
