Default Spotted : Capri Mk3 '280' Black - CBR

Spotted today at lunchtime in Tuggeranong (Canberra) on a trailer behind a Falcon Ute
Capri Mk3, very black, with rear badges LH= 'RS', RH = '280', WA Rego plates

Looked really great.
Anyone know anything about this vehicle?

And if the owner is on this, turn up to the Shannons Wheels 2011 show this Sunday (Old Parliament House) and have a chat with us other Capri dudes.

Cheers
Allan - Capri Mk1 3000GT

I knew I should have gone out for lunch today. I've not seen this one before, maybe just passing through. I only know of a burgundy Mk1 V6 that gets around down south.

Cheers

All Capri 280s are Brooklands Green. Having said that they are identical to the 2.8i Special except the green paint, leather seats and 15 inch wheels. They where a limited edition and the last proper Capris made.

Here is my Mk 3 2.8i. It has been painted Brooklands Green.

JG66ME - looks a really nice example, you're very lucky to have one.
For Sale ? (he asks wistfully...)

I was aware the Brooklands was only ever green.
However, this black example was nonetheless pretty schmick. Beautiful paint job, no side pin-stripes, no ripples (quite obvious with black and reflections), very under-stated. Noice !!
Sorry, I'm starting to drool........
Ah...I'll just keep dreamin'.

Jamie - pop into the ACT Small Ford Club stand at Wheels2011 and introduce yourself. Looks like we'll have about 8 members cars. See ya.

I think you may be talking about Peters car if it had W.A plates. I know he was trying to sell it. He is/was a member of the Perth Capri club i run - have a look at the members photo page, its the last one on the

That is a nice Mk3, I'm really starting to get more of an appreciation for the Mk2/3 Capri.

Alan, I'm going to try and drop by Wheels, but I have a few things to do around the house beforehand (and before race start in the F1 ).

Paul: You've got some good cars over there in the Perth group, most of which I'd be happy with in the garage.

Cheers
