movie - M-alien abduction !!!!

Did anyone see this movie at 12.30am last night on channel 7 nsw.
i was flabbergasted at the footage . apparantely it was a video camera found in a vacant house , and the whole family has not been seen since . taken in 1997. no explanation was offered . it goes for 2 hours and had remarkable footage if it was a produced movie than the special effects and story was well done . if it was real well then nobody was commenting on it's authenticity, and claimed the family has dissapeared .
did anyone see it ??? any links referring to it etc etc .

i think i know the one your talking about , not sure if its the same one , this one is thanks giving , they go outside and see them cutting up a cow in a paddock with a red laser then they see them and point the laser at the camera man and burn his hand, after that they come to the house and get them all after one of the house occupants shoots one through a door with a shot gun. is that the one you remember , the one i watched definately has a movie like theme . but if its a movie it shouldve been on at the movies or our on DVD , I dont recall ever hearing about it .

yeah i saw that movie like last year...that is a movie based on the events of a video recording, that most experts still have their doubts on...they did dissappear, but they say it was a hoax because the people who were allegedly involved had financial problems as well...supposdly they picked up a few flaws in the video, one of them being the camera zooming in by itself when it was left on the kitchen benchtop...i forget the other things, read it like awhile ago...

I watched it last night ...... bit like a train wreck and couldn't stop watching. A bad version of Blair Witch. Was definatley just a low budget film ... some of the actors were not bad but some were out right shocking. Love watching late night B grade movies.

Last month SBS ran Zombie movies for a month ..... was great stuff

yes definately blair witch like .
i just wish being yanks , if it is a movie they wouldnt try to make out is real , thats the thing that ropes you in , things like movie producers , police, psychologists, anthropilogists, special effects technicians, all commenting on if its genuine or not .
the only guy that said it was a crock was the technical guy who said the footage was too high definition for a home video camera of its day. the rest of them could not confirm or denigh .
my point being if it has all this in it , is it a movie or not . and if so then why the deliberate deception . and if there are skeptics on its authenticity , and the people were actual citisens , not actors , then where are there relatives here, and have they been seen in public , or do they cease to exist . and if they do then why havent they been debunked and charged etc etc .
the beggining of this film makes reference to uncertainty of the films validity.

I remember when Amityville Horror first came out ... great movie ...... but went on the premise that it was all true and had interviews with the 'real' Amityville people. Same as Blair Witch ..... anything for publicity
