I work as a solicitor and we get these emails all the time.
'A company in Australia owes us money. Please give us your details for you to go to court for us.' Whats more worrying is that we get a lot of people wanting us to assist them in geting their 'one million dollars from a Spanish Lottery' that they have just 'won.' Honestly, how stupid can people be.

I have a bridge for anyone to buy, it spans over a busy harbour and is over 70 years old but in good condition. It goes from Circular Key to Milsons Point, and has several lanes, train tracks and even a tourist climbing thingy. Only one owner, send me $20,000,000.00 ono and it's all yours.

I love that Flight of the Conchords episode where the manager gets tied up in one of these deals, the bands money is "tied up in an exciting business opportunity" It was funny how a supposed business guy gets sucked in.
But it was hilarious when this Nigerian guy actually shows up and is totally legit, commenting on how difficult it was to get anyone to help him etc... |
