Check this stunning looking Performance car, it’s a Dodge Challenger.
They have kept there look from the past years along with its heritage and put it into a top looking modern day Performance car package. It only comes in a manual, check the gear shifter and console, and there is a good chance this car is coming to Australia. I love the interior and the look from all angles it has a very tuff stance, this car is aimed squarely at Ford and its Mustang, they want some of its Marker share. This car only weighs 1550 kgs, given the times from its brother the Hemi 6.1L 300c SRT8, 13.2 with 1800 kgs, this Challenger should be a production 12 sec quarter mile car. Below are some Pics and a bit more info from the fastcoolcars website. 2006 Dodge Challenger RT Concept 6.1 Hemi, 425 Horsepower. Challenger draws upon the initial 1970 model as the icon of the series We wanted the concept car to evoke all those sweet memories … everything you thought the Challenger was, and more. The five-spoke chrome wheels - 20-inch, front; 21-inch, rear — are set flush with the bodyside, giving the car the powerful muscular stance. The hood reprises the original Challenger performance hood and its twin diagonal scoops, now with functional butterfly-valve intakes. Designed to showcase the modern techniques used in fabricating the car, what look like painted racing stripes are actually the exposed carbon fibre of the hood material. Exterior details one might expect, like a racing-type gas cap, hood tie-down pins, louvered backlite and bold bodyside striping, didn’t make the “cut,” the designers feeling such assorted bits would detract from the purity of the monochromatic body form. But tucked reassuringly under the rear bumper are the “got to have” twin-rectangle pipes of the dual exhausts.

I want it, makes the 300c look very ordinary.
Will they have a 6 cylinder version to beat out GT's over the quater ? : |

How sweet does that engine bay look, gotta love the minimalistic approach of the early 70's, you could just drive that straight to a show and just open the bonnet and you're done.

I know its a repost, but I haven't seen that many pics and angles all in one place before. I absolutely love the theory of making old new again; and I think "they" have really pulled it off with that car. If it came to Australia it would probably be as successful as the Mustang or Viper a few years back here, but in a few years when they're worthless like a Lincoln Mark VIII is now, I'd be REAL keen on bringing one over. The moral is - I love it.
