wanting to buy a NC diff to put in my ef fairmont.....curious if this is a straight swap or if there is some problems i may run into?

handbrake is different ea-ed its hooked upto your brakes ef/el its got its own thing appraently

I think sway bar clips should still be the same. Thats all I know

Theres no provisions at all for the handbrake setup on the diff. THe breather tube is also in a different spot but that wont cause you issues.
On the diff there is a pivot point for thehandbrake cable and 4 from memory lugs that the cable goes through and is held by clips. |

Start ringing around wreckers... or ring a few transmission diff places to get prices on gettin diff gears put in your housing might be an easier option.

So besides the hand brake what else is different on the diff? Will it still bolt up?

The sway bar clips are different ea/ed - ef/el The first uses a bolt and clip design, the later uses 2 bolts. You would need to get the clips to suit the diff.
