Guys and girls,
Just had a great experience with a website I stumbled across. www.redlinegoods.com They produce custom leather gear and handbrake boots for a number of cars, including the Focus. These are not "universal" fit items, but rather, cut to exactly the same pattern as the OE cheap vinyl boots. Genuine Italian leather, with a choice of 17 leather colours, and 16 colour choices in the stitching. Great price (I reckon) US$60 for gear boot AND brake boot, plus US$10 postage. (about $95 AUS) Have just received mine and they are really good quality, great leather, and really well made.( Bad photo of gear boot attached) Fitted them last night. Really easy. Will take some photos on the weekend of them fitted No hassle purchasing, lots of follow up emails confirming order, confirming shipping etc. Ordered on the Sunday, received on the Tuesday (9 days later) Funny bloke who runs it. Comes out of Warsaw in Poland. ( I keep imagining a room of toothless old women sitting behind sewing machines, stitching up these boots)The website is no graphic masterpiece, but lots of photos, colour samples, and FAQ's. I've gone for the very boring black leather with silver stitching( which suits my scheme for the car), but the choices are really good. (Anyone for yellow leather with red stitching???) Timmeh, the Violety Blue would be a good match for your exterior colour! Any way, enough of a rave. Just a really good experience and a really good product I thought I'd share with the club.

AWESOME!!! http://www.redlinegoods.com/clrchart.shtm
Buy a sample pack for $10 and if you purchase you get $5 off your purchase, so only ends up costing $5!!!! Sweet!! I'm going to try for single tone charcoal for both perhaps, not a fan of the 2-tone... will enquire. Thanks Steve, top find!! WE WANT PICS INSTALLED!!! :1syellow1

OK...........so I need to get a decent camera, not just the one in my phone!
But here are some pics taken this morning. Believe it or not, they are in colour. It's just my whole car is pretty much in black a white (and silver and grey) these days. Interior and Exterior... just the way I like it. The fitting was very easy. A couple of small slits had to be made in the handrake boot to slightly widen the attachment openings, but that was about it. They fitted the plastic collars perfectly, and didn't need to be stapled at all. They came with elastic in the collars (as opposed to the cable tie in the OE vinyl boot.) I'm pretty happy. Got the amex bill alst week. AU$93 all up (no duty or GST bill in sight) Was quoted $200 from a motor trimmer here.

Good service too. Just received an email to check whether I'd received the package, and to check I was happy.
Oh, and I'll be adding a new Richbrook lift reverse gear knob it the next few days (when it arrives from UK) . Bottom knob (silver) in attached pic. (Although I was tempted by the darker titanium) Will take more lousy pics when I have it installed
