Default Clicking noise

Hey guys, i've just noticed a clicking noise in my wifes Fiesta. It happens about 20 secs after i turn it off and sounds a bit like a starter motor click. It just seems funny as it happens without anything being on.

Im just wondering if anyone else has experienced this??

Yep... a normal thing. I think it is either the starter motor, or fuel pump. Happens after the car is either switch off - or after you switch it off after the key was turned to the starter... when the lights on the dash light up.

Totally normal

Yeah i had a black one before this one, to cut a long story short, when it went in for its 1st service they damaged it, so i demanded a new one.

The hum and click you hear is Quite normal. In fact If it didn't make that noise it would be a problem.

What you can hear is the Electronic throttle self test after engine shutdown. What it does after the engine shuts off is rotates the throttle butterfly by about 10 degrees (Thats the initial hum), and then lets it spring back to its normal position (the clicking noise). I've seen it do it, it's pretty cool, and pretty normal. Nothing at all to worry about.
