has anyone put a complete fairmont ghia dfash into an XR forte or futura ? i mean the whole dash not just the cluster . if i have the whole dash assembly itself what other bits do i need ? the car already has the correct body harness as it has 4 door power windows

There's a couple of guys that have, or are in the process of. I forget his name, but the guy who has Adam's old ute (Black Betty Re-born thread) is putting one in his ute, and Chief is in the process of converting his wagon.
From memory I'm pretty sure you need the heater box assembly as well as the actual dash, for climate control. |

first try finding/price a whole fairmont dash and heater box. |

AU3 xr6........ u have xr6 or u wanna put in a low series car non XR ? you will need a pink BEM than tow it to ford to prpgram it.

I have a pink bem already you need it for the 4 door power windows . bought the whole dash seats console and door trims for $500 only thing wrong with it i one small tear on the side of the drivers seat got a quote of 130 to fix it so i just need the heater box now ?

Yes - your heater box has to be swapped out - everything else is straight forward as you already have the high series BEM and wiring loom. It is just a time-consuming exercise to make sure you don't miss any connections as you put it back together and also make sure you have ALL the fixing screws back in place or else the rattles and creaks will drive you mad.

it's warm charcoal ( black) series 3 got it from a wrecker i deal a lot with in the cabs ;)
just got the heater box and underbonnet harness for an extra 130 I already have a traction control ABS unit all I need is the pipes for the rear now and i'm ready to go

What's the difference between a traction control ABS unit and a non traction control ABS unit? I was under the impression it's very difficult to add traction control to a car without it.
