Default The future of motor companies

VW are a juggernaught already and with this type of technology coming will continue to dominate. An awesome, forward thinking company...

They really must be making extreme profits having so many vehicles using the same platforms and drivetrains.

No coincidence Ford seem to be following their lead.

Can you just buy the frame as is in the picture? Would make an awesome foundation for a modern day Moke!

Think of the power to weight ratio.....

modular technology is not new, what is new is using tier 1 suppliers (x16) supplying the whole car . The oem then offloads the capital cost of new models down a level. The technology and supply base is there already . Australia is perfect for such technology. One plant will make all the fords and holdens together

Global platforms are nothing new, its just that FoA are the last of the old guard, same with Holden.
