Default Liquid intelligence

Just saw a new product advertised in my forged car magazine called liquid intelligence.
They do oil additives and a cooling system cleaner and come with a 2 year money back guarantee if you speak to them for advice first.
Snake oil comes to mind but would you offer a money back guarantee if the product didn't work?
Anybody used this stuff yet?
Tbh im only interested in the cooling system cleaner but any feedback on any product would be great.

Heard of it but dunno how they can back up their claims like the engine stop leak 100% success etc

No trial product size, no small sizes

$97 can of it for a litre
50ml per litre oil

So that's $24.25 (250ml) of the product for a 5 litre oil change

Bit steep

It certainly isn't cheap that's for sure,i only looked at the cooling system cleaner.
Do you have to use the oil additives every oil change?
I didn't read about the oil additives at all.
If you do it could get pricy.

Haven't used it and don't think I would.

My guess is as the money back guarantee is based on a customer contacting them for advise early in the piece, many people won't, they will buy the product and can't invoke the guarantee. Others will get the advice but couldn't be bothered claiming and those that do will probably get their money back and the company makes a reasonable profit still.

Seems to have been around for a while then.
I don't have overheating issues in my eb I just wanted a decent cooling system cleaner to get some of the crap out of my block/cooling system and stop my coolant overflow turning brown,i have cleaned them and replaced them but very soon after, mmmm brown again
If the stuff actually works the $160 delivered pricetag may be well worth it,the amount of coolant tanks ive been through over the years...

Disappointed, reading the title I thought it was going to be some new beer which counteracted all the damage done from other beers.

It is bloody brilliant stuff and for $100, it is probably the best thing you can do to your everyday driver, regardless of mileage. I went over there last year to meet the bloke to make up my own mind. My E series had 300,000kms on it and had the usual tell tale dark stains back of the head & behind the sump. There was also a leak around the timing chain. I thought what's $100, when the repair bill for those leaks is in the thousands? Two weeks later I pressure cleaned the motor top & bottom and it remained like new until it was written off this year. The motor is now in another car and still going. The main thing that impressed me was that I could return the product to the bloke who made it if I was having any issues or ring him just about any day of the year. He also told me it wasn't required to use it every fill, more on a needs basis after initial application. I suppose if you needed to use it every fill, the affected seal would be just about gone so important to keep checking problem area.

Yeah, just the oil additive. Cooling system was fine. I suppose it would be similar result, but I like the fact I can empty all the oil out of an engine compared to adding things to cooling system.

You don't leave the cleaner in the cooling system, you let it do its thing then you flush it out once its clean.

Good try Tassie but no cigar,

Liquids's Radiator cleaner is a Mainlube product (end of convo)

I gave it to Peter (Liquid) as I don't do much around this area with cars.

The product only reacts with rust and corrosion dissolving it. Does no harm the cooling system in any way. Liquid made a powdered version to assist with shipping, shipping liquids in the post is often difficult.
2nd clean is for calcium build up (often seen in supercharger inter-cooler radiators) I used this product to clean my supercharger radiator, worked great.

Should be able to follow Liquid's instructions, drive round for a few days, remove and flush and the cooling system will shin inside like new. Quite an impressive out come.

Will not attack clean metal.

Then, in with a good coolant with an organic inhibitor and all good.

Don't think there's a better product out there at present.

Cheers

Steve

Sorry to HiJack thread, but Steve (Mainlube) you obviously are still in business, but I cannot see your company in the forum sponsors area now? I assume I can still buy oils etc from you directly?

Yes Mainlube is staying in business, Forum's don't return enough to advertise anymore, dropped Holden years ago (they are a little greedy as well)

We are still at Mainlube.com.au and my mail still and will always be Steve@Mainlube.com.au.
