I have decided to take Froggy for a run on the 1/4 tomorrow night before the next lot of mods. I have never been before and looking forward to it.
Is there somewhere to stash the spare and jack? Are any other members going? |

No where safe to stash spare or tools unless a mate brings a car and you throw it in that.
Why not leave it as is? Just race it exactly same weight to see what the improvements are? unless of course your chasing a record of some sort. Link to my efforts here, raced with baby seats in back and prams in the boot lol http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11397565

never had a problem leaving half my car in the pits at Sydney Dragway in the past 7 1/2 years of racing there (even all of my tools, trolley jack etc)
only ever heard of thefts at big rounds like the nitro's but even then parts/tools were found or returned pretty quickly.

Great stuff! Well done. Its great to see new people getting out to their local Drag Strip and having fun.
We all want to go faster that's where the addiction kicks in lol. PS. I am not a CAT person, go the DOG bushes sure they wag their tail and they love going for a walk and require consistent attention but they are just so forgiving.......... |

I was at eastern creek one night and a FG GT boss 335 with zf auto did a best of 13.03. That was his first run and he couldn't match it all night. He went slower as the night progressed. Those cars are supposed to have 300-330rwkw and a slab of low end torque.
So considering your is less power and a manual not a bad effort. Did you take the jack/spare out? Fuel level pretty low? |

A manual car also needs longer break between runs then a Automatic to allow the clutch to rejuvenate. |
