Default Any comms techs want a job?

Hi guys,

We have a position open for a comms tech in Roxby Downs / Olympic Dam that we urgently need to fill. We had a guy leave on us unexpectedly so we need to fill the position ASAP. CCTV and fibre experience is a plus. Will need to pass a fitness for work (drug and alcohol checks). Roster is 5/2 5/2 10/4 (possibly can be changed to 10/4 10/4 if that suits) on a Labour Hire arrangement with one of our clients. Casual rate of around $40 per hour working 10 hour days. Accommodation will be provided. This labour hire position is up until Christmas and we will need the applicant to be 100% committed to this. After this period the position will continue on as one of our normal techs rather than direct labour hire.

If anyone is interested please email your resume to me ASAP at mwhite@mpsgroup.net.au

I'm with Z80. Comms tech/engineer here...$40 an hour wont get me to Roxby Downs.

Might get a young guy there...

All good guys. We need someone urgently so putting it out there. Personally I was doing the same work in port Augusta for $23.50 approx $1000 a fortnight. I moved up here and can make around $6000 a fortnight. Pretty good I thought...

Some people are hard to please. This could open up huge opportunities in the industry if you worked hard for 6 months and proved yourself.

I'm with Iggy, If I had a clue what a comm tech was, I'd be there in a heartbeat...ten hours, $40 an hour = $4000 for ten days...plus accommodation is included...and from the realestate.com search I just did - $300 to $600 a week for rent...

The $40 an hr may not be 'sufficient', but what is the accommodation worth?

Sounds like a good opportunity, but naturally it won't suit everyone.

Super
Long service
Sick pay

Annual leave

I take it $40 an hour is before the tax man gets his share

seriously guys, someone is looking for a worker and has offered the job here. If you aren't interested in the job why comment at all unless you are just looking to make trouble?
The way I see it your comments are off topic posts and therefore a breach of site T&C as he is not asking if you think the job is good or bad he is asking is anyone interested.
If you don't have anything good or constructive to say maybe it would be best to resist the urge and move on to another thread instead

there is no pleasing some people, if want to earn the bucks you either have to take a punt and do it or not, if I didnt have my own business in Perth I would be in like flynn, sometimes you need to grab the opportunity and see where it leads you, also being an old quornie it would suit if circumstances were different, I think its a great opportunity for a young bloke.

Well said.

The offer is there, if you think it is close to interesting you then contact the op and start negotiations.

If you are going to post criticism about the offer, don't bother.
