Default Summer Nats Pictures!!!!

Surely the nats has started by now, usually on by the 4th or 5th....

So what i'm asking is, can we see some pics from the nats or is everybody still there having a great time????

I went a few years back and it is an awesome show... (Long drive from townsville!!!)

I didn't know you could go and watch scrutineering.

I'm going for a drive out that way today. Civic should be full of hot cars now

I have a mate taking his car through... so I thought I'd make the most of it.

Also, just down from the racecourse, you have in the past, been able to see the cars arrive and queue for the scrutineering. :

Dunno if you picked it, but the purple and pink thing is an esky panno with the roof chopped off. I thought you would be interested in that!

Ahh, I suspected it was a Mk II Escort that'd been chopped, looks good, although I don't think the paint job suits it personally. I don't find it as eye catching as that Capri, although I'm more then happy to see that people are still that keen on the Mk II Escorts, top effort, and much more original then just going out and buying a new Commodore or Falcon and just slapping a set of rims on it, then turning up to summernats thinking you've got something special...

Although, if I had the money, I'd be happy to have a new car as well as my Escorts...

Any chance of some more pics of it - preferably of it stationary? It'd be interesting to see, particularly the rear end.

It was on a moving trailer when I took the pic. I go back to work tonight, so I won't be able to attend the 'nats and get more pics...
I think it was one of the summernats cruisers, cars built just for cruising inside the grounds, and that could never be registered without bucket loads of cash.

We have a little get together tommorrow night at 6.30 out the front of City Custom Exhaust. For the out of towners, find Gregory's Ford car yard, Lonsdale Street Braddon, and City Custom is right opposite. We will be the guys in the fords.

If you do see us there, please stop, say hi and introduce yourselves.
