Hi everyone
Looking for some help with a late model RHD conversion. I’ve done lots of google searches and only found one place with time to talk to me. They seemed very good and new exactly what was need but the price tag was just under $40000 Does anyone know of any other places, or had any experiences with these types of conversions good or bad? Thanks |

one of my ex employers used to bring in Dodge Rams and from memory it was only around $15 - $18 g but that was about 8 yrs ago now so the $$$ would have to be higher now than it was then
wouldn't have thought it would be double though Jason

There is a place in Vic that advertises in unique cars every month on the back cover, mustang motorsport.
Doubt they are cheap but they seem to have a good rep. Have you brought it yet? If not I'd seriously consider just sticking to old school muscle with a stang as you can leave it lhd. That and you are more likely to make money, not loose it in the short term. Good luck.

I know viper performance quotes roughly 40k aswell to do a dodge! I would feel uneasy paying 10-15k for a conversion! How good quality do u get for that money! Not much!

VDC here in Victoria quoted me $40,000 on conversion and compliance on a personal import (F250).

I see a lot of RHD mustangs coming from Mustang Motorsport. Unfortunately I dont happen to know if they convert them themselves.

When I lived around North Sydney I remember seeing a showroom around the Artarmon area that looked like it sold new / late model American muscle cars. It is / was in one of the back streets somewhere around Bunnings / Office Works in Artarmon. Don't know the name, nor do I live in the area any more, sorry! Jason. Edit: Found em, http://www.mustangaustralia.com.au/default.asp Showroom Sales: 49 Whiting Street Artarmon NSW 2064 t. 02 9438-5300 f. 02 9438-5956 Last edited by Yellow_Festiva; 23-12-2010 at 12:38 AM. |

Mustang Motor Sport(Crossover Conversions) definitely do them they would be asking top dollar though. I beleive all the main players in the conversion business do do good jobs, MMS are meant to be one of the best My 99' Cobra is one of thiers. There was i beleive a bit of a crack down a few years ago on some of the less reputable conversion mobs, i knew a few people with converted Mustangs that had to have there cars checked over by RTA, MMS cars were not involved in this.

A friend of mine has had a Silverado and a 2008 Shelby GT 500 done by Autosmith on the Gold Coast Qld. He is a perfectionist and is more than happy with the job they did on both vehicles.
If you can't find a satisfactory conversion shop in Sydney, I'd recommend trucking your Shelby up here. Give them a call ... http://www.autosmith.com.au/ |
