Even GM thinks the Holdem name stinks. It appears the service centres will be called ACDelco.

Really makes you wonder why you would bother as a company. Most dealerships will throw their GM licence away once their deal is up neways, they wont want to use the ACDelco brand as some foreign form of Ultratune thats for sure.

Aren't most dealers without an active brand to sell turning their showrooms into MG, LDV, GWM dealerships etc, (any of the new Chinese brands)
Also near me, one of the previous Citroen dealerships locations suddenly has turned into 'Tesla', (probably not the same owner of the dealers). |

Sounds like a quality outfit. For reference, everything that broke on my cruzes was stamped AcDelco

When I arrived in Sydney aged 15 yrs from UK I got an apprenticeship with a Ford Dealer, had a really tough time and walked away after 10 months.
There were 2 standout new car sales men there, Tony Packard and the late Brian Baldwin, Brian was a pommie and knew I was having a hard time of it, in fact my first paypacket was stolen by someone in the workshop, one of my workmates stole $18.00? It didn't go down too well with everyone except the thief, that was Thursday, had TAFE Friday and on Monday I was called t the office, Brian Baldwin and Tony Packard gave me an envelope with $20 bucks after they past the hat around, then they both gave me a separate envelope each had a crisp $20 note in it! Brian Baldwin told me then that he was starting his own Ford Dealership, he said he would have my indenture papers signed over, I threw it in before that happened, next time I saw him was on TV with his wife, the ad was based on "selling oranges" lol, he was explaining to his supposedly dumb wife. He was a really nice guy, Packard too, but they sold cars for a living, they were tough at work but soft away from the car sales hustle! I was shocked when Brian committed suicide, very sad but that's the pressure of business for you. But 2 honest decent men, who just happened to sell cars for a living! Cheers Billy. |

To be honest, My SSV Redline has had Services (with number 5 coming up) through dealers with the last few being after Holden shut up shop.
The dealer I use is now a Hyundai Dealer (where I purchased is part of the same group, but in a different location - its now Mitsubishi). You know whats changed? The signage and the Loan Cars, thats it. Signage - I go into a "Hyundai" Service Building but with the same staff. There is "Holden Service" signage (Small) at the counter (which I assume will change to AC Delco) Loan Cars - Was Astras/ZB Commodore, now I30's/Tuscon's I cant see this change making a difference...
