Same where I work, we all know you don't get involved in any sort of situation while wearing the company uniform whereby the company's name is or may be considered to be seen in a bad way, if we do chances are we will be looking for another job.

Road rage isnt worth it. You never know what can happen.

Person i know in the USA found that out, he was the aggressor on Christmas morning like 1am, was cut off and after approaching a vehicle with a knife and punched other driver, was shot by said driver and died. USA of course can bear arms legally for protection, especially Nashville.
He did have a temper, his partner was in the car telling him to ignore and such and was brake checking the other driver for 2 miles.

Seriously not worth it, think twice even 3 times and dont do anything stupid.
If you have to, report it to police but dont hang around.

I often wonder what goes through a persons head when they continue to abuse, scream and carry on several minutes after the incident has occurred.

Better to just acknowledge the incident has occurred - whether you were the cause of the incident or not - and move on. It's not worth losing your job, damage to your car or someone else's car/property or in extreme cases your life or someone else's life just to prove a point or make your distaste be known.

Two people had a disagreement, said and did stupid things. We have evolved over millions of years to have emotions - and people expect these to disappear as soon as you put on a polo shirt with a logo?

His buttons were pushed, he reacted, no reason to lose his livelihood. But in the end involving his car was dangerous so the company probably had to do what it did.

Too often I see people baiting and egging others on. People need to learn there are consequences for that behavior as well.

A few years ago (5 maybe) my company removed the sign writing off the tailgates and got it put onto the doors. 2 reasons for this. Firstly was when 1 employee had multiple people complain about cutting people off etc, and 2 was it cost money to get the sign writing redone in the 3 or 4 times he got rear ended. Difference between he and I, he also being my manager, is that my car is always loaded so I know it cant really stop, and if I injure myself in a work car, I still injure myself that affects me out of hours, and between jobs I still get paid so why take the risk. People constantly see the extra space I leave to slow down easily with the added load as a gap which makes me have to pull up hard. With all the traffic driving into the sydney cbd every morning, I choose not to (as much as it annoys me) let it get to me, atleast I'm getting paid to drive between jobs.

We operate a rather large fleet of sign written vehicles. My manager has started fitting dash cams to the fleet just in our section (approx. 90 vehicles). The amount of phone calls that come through reception reporting driver behaviour (justified or not) is astounding. His reasoning is the camera can work both ways, to convict or clear the allegations. Also are good for accidents. One guy had someone pull over in front of him on a three lane road without using indicators and tried to blame our employee for hitting him. You could see the expression change in his face when it was pointed out he was being recorded.

Brings to mind the " road rage " of some coppers, namely the one who pulled a gun on a couple in a ute in Queensland recently.
QPS [ the employer ] doesn't seem to have the option of dismissal even with video evidence.

Yes there are, but unlike sign written company vehicles they don't have phone numbers plastered all over them. Number plates are harder to see then bright advertisements for a company.

Then there is a reason some of us who drive sign written vehicles for private use do the right things, and don't work for you. My employer has never put gps tracking on the cars for his sake of not wanting distrust from his employees. He won't do dash cams either for that reason, but has no issue with personal dash cams in work vehicles. It all stems from the time there was a 4 am callout to a high rise in chatswood and there was one of our vans parked infront of the poly waffle across the road. Oliver was not fielding the callout..
