Default Side mirror glass question...

Just a quick question,

Is it possible to only buy the mirror of the side mirrors?? Mg GF has a 2003 Corolla and as I was reversing it into the garage it hit the side :(

Anyway, the whole unit is ok, bar a few cracks in the mirror.

Would a wrecker separate the mirror from the whole assembly, or is it possible to buy just the glass and pop it in??

Cheers

When I was doing up our Telstar for the girls to learn on , the drivers mirror was cracked , I just made a "cardboard cutout" of the size , went to the glass shop & got a piece of mirror cut ( about $7 I think) took it to our mechanic and he stuck it over the old cracked one with "some black junk" . was still on the car when we sold it 3 yrs later . (passed blue slip inspection)

Wreckers usually won't separate them. The cases arent any good to them without the mirror.

I had to get one for my Falcon ute ... was something like $20 including the little metal spring clip as well ... just the glass on it's own. And this was from Ford Spare parts.

I am sure the glass can be bought seperately.

Best bet would be Toyota Spare Parts, otherwise just buy the whole assembly from a wrecker.
