Default fuel consumption comparison

i was wondering how much more fuel an auII xr8 would use over an auII vct xr6. I have a vct xr6 but i am starting to love the appeal of an 8 but i would be using it as a daily driver so the fuel issue would have to be taken into account.

thanks for any help

I have AUII XR8 Rebel 5 speed. I normally get approx 480klm around town. Recently I bought a Flash Tuner from RDP Motorsports, and man power is great but fuel ecomomy at present appears to be much better. I am now getting almost 570klm. Power and economy, cant ask for much more than that!

I have the 5sp man 5.6 T3 engine which I assume would be slightly less economical than a regular and I get a constant 12.5 L/100km up and down the mountain and on a trip between 9.6 and 10.5 L/100km.
The worst I could ever manage to get out of it with dirty filter and extreme hard driving was 15 L/100km. and on a 13000km trip through N.T and outback QLD I averaged 10.9 L/100km.
Hope this helps. Ditch the six and go with the rumble. Unless you trade to a tricked up turbo.
