I think this car suits having a Hemi 5.7 V8, but this review would make anyone seriously looking at buying it, interested in the diesel option
I noticed Powerchip can take that diesel from 160kw/510Nm to 190kw/583Nm http://www.cbg.ie/article.asp?listMode=review&ID=1032 |

Not my cuppa..
Ford Oz should really put a lot of R&D into diesel engines - it's just what the Falcon needs.

It will be interesting to see how well this does in the Aussie market.
Its got a V8 (or a v6), its proberly the best rwd sedan to come out of the USA in nearly 30 years. Its based off a Merc E class and uses many merc mechanicals. 300c Length 4999mm Width 1881mm Height 1483mm Wheelbase 3048mm Ford Falcon Length 4916 mm Width 1864 mm Height 1444 mm Wheel Base 2829 mm Ford Fairlane Ghia Length 5153 mm Width 1862 mm Height 1493 mm Wheel Base 2919 mm Holden Commodore Length 4891 mm Width 1842 mm Height 1450 mm Wheel Base 2788 mm Holden Statesman Length 5237 mm Width 1847 mm Height 1459 mm Wheel Base 2939 mm So its a little bigger than a Falcon but small than a 'lane or a Stateo. Has a massive wheelbase tho, even bigger than a Stateo, which makes it look much bigger. If it was up against a VY and a AU it proberly would have carved a pretty big market. But upagainst the current range its going to struggle a bit. But a viable 3rd option for corperate carparks should make it interesting. |

My Parents have just ordered one, for delivery in November. When I read the list of options and the brochure I was really impressed. I am a FORD person through and through, but you've gotta like anything that comes out with a HEMI V8 in it.
