Guys,
While driving home tonight, my Alternator light came on, and showed 11volts : This happened sometimes when i first started the car, but one rev and it picked up. Im soooo ****ed atm, And I was thinking.... : I drove for about 6mins with it on 11v due to I was close to home, This hasnt killed my battery has it? Can I do anything about the alternator? Im use to Bosch ones where id change the regulator, etc but these Mitsubishi Things are all new to me

Bosch do an alternator to replace the mitsubishi..included with the alternator is a wiring harness adapter to suit the original loom.. The mitsubishi's are expensive to overhaul and most auto elects will say its cheaper to change it over to a Bosch..Aslong as you haven't completely flattened the battery you shouldn't have sulphated the plates

Very true.
Mate it sounds like your alternator is about to die. Mine did the same thing for a few weeks before i had to replace it. Dont even look at a Mitsubishi, it will cost you around $200 for someone to even look at it. $700 for a new one. I got a brand new Bosch 85A , with the little loom to suit both plugs for $230. Bolted straight in.

The Mitsubishi Alternators are exspensive because they are not as easy to fix.

apparantly the EL one can be adapted somehow (but its a different pully so im not sure how its done without going to Serpentine belt setup) someone else will have to fill you in on the details...

You can swap the pully from a EB/ED alternator over onto the EL one, but it will most likely squeel like crazy underload. You could also get a Mitsubishi alternator from say a Magna or something with a 85amp rating. Thanatos knows of a few that can be fitted.

You could always buy a Bosch to suit an EA/D, I did.
