Forum Freshen up for 2020? Banners

Is it possible we can get a updated look for 2020 or something just a random idea.

Been a while with current banners?

Some rough quick edits I made. Ideas?

delete thread if bad idea.

Also what about an upgrade to the current version of the board? The new functionality is epic, pop up notification of replies, mentions, integrated video and social media functionality.

Also responsive - works on mobiles, tablets etc without this Tapatalk crapola.

Pictures uploaded to the AFF site should display within posts as a default when selected.

Did I mention this is the only forum in the world where the posts default newest to oldest instead of oldest to newest?

While we're at it Russell's moving gif in his posts is too big & either pushes off the page on a computer or shrinks all the other posts on a tablet.

Oh, and putting those AUs in the proposed banner is like putting your UGLY sister in a family photo.

I think it's a great idea. Nice work.

I'd like to see a couple banners with Ranger, Ranger Raptor, Fiesta ST, Focus ST, SUVs etc.

Whether we like it or not, times have moved on from predominantly Falcon.

Agreed on all fronts these are just ideas and yes I reckon Fiestas Mustangs And the best seller Ranger too I can whip up more was just experimenting with those in particular.

agreed on new version too.Site needs a freshen I reckon it's 2020 soon.

While we're at too big... how stupid is this?? The entire screen is taken up for one or two words, because of bull**** sized avatars, boy scout badges, etc, etc.... Do we really need this??

Newer banners sound good, but we may as well use the Ford script! I love the old blue and white layout, would hate a dark colour change. I also have no problem with the avatars, just use the space to fill it in with build threads and signatures etc. It makes the forum more connected and useful. Unlike other options...

Yes we do. Moderator 'badges' are there so if someone needs help they know who to contact or if they are spoken to about their behaviour they know it is from a mod.

The other 'badges' acknowledge long time members and/or others that contribute positively to these forums.

The person you have used as an example is a moderator and is a very well respected member who has actively participated for over 10 years and donated a large amount of his time to the running of these forums.

He deserves every 'badge' he has.

I don’t mind the format (quite like it actually) freshen the skin and banner by all means but I’m happy with the functionality, in fact it’s probably the smoothest forum I frequent so if it ain’t broken don’t fix it

Should just be AFF - Australian Falcon Forum.

Does anyone really care about Mondeos and Focuses? I’m sure there’s a whitegoods forum those owners can join.

In that case ... there's no more new Falcons.
As then there'd be no AFF in that instance.

And on that note there's no more manufactured Australian Ford's ... so AFF is a misnomer in a way.

Really this has been an Inclusive Forum for all makes and models .... not all Ford owners just have Falcons either.

There’s plenty of old Falcons though.

My comment was a little tongue in cheek, though I think it’d be better to be an enthusiast site for a classic car model (like GMH Torana forum)

Have been on a lot of forums over the years and this one has been proven to be a popular one pulling in good numbers of attendance with members, diverse range of topics to indulge yourself in, I think the colour scheme reflects well with ford blue oval emblem and I find the banners to be satisfactory.

It aint broke so why touch it.
