Nobody probably remembers, but a while back when i first got my AU2 XR6 VCT, i made a post about the reading i got from a gtech on the quarter mile. Stock, I got like a 15.6 with a power reading of 96rwkw, and i was really dissapointed, not so much about the ET since i was reassured for a stock AU, 15.6 was fairly average, but more dissapointed at the power rating, i had a feeling i wasnt getting an accurate reading, maybe it was the settings or something, but it was still saddening, then i found out that my car was a repairable write off, it was a kick in the guts but it wasnt really a complete surprise to be honest.
We'll ive finally had another chance to have a go, my new PB is 14.983 : with heaps of tyre spin, the entire back end swung out lol, im so happy, when i started to mod my car, i had the intention of trying to get into the 14 second range, so im really happy ive done it, almost makes me want to not trade in for a BF like i was considering earlier this year. the Gtech power reading i reckon is still a little low, with that run, my power rating according to it is 121rwkw. If anyones interested in knowing, since i got the car, what ive done since is, 4480 comp headers (thanks 5.0whiteaughia) 2.5" highflow cat (thanks 5.0whiteaughia) stock 2.5" press bent exhaust with resonator removed CAI (thanks Whoosha) 3A Racing pod filter + intake pipeing Tranny cooler + Completely serviced gearbox. If i decide to keep the car, i want to put the 3.9 diff gears ive got in, 3000rpm stally, shift kit, and get a custom tune done with the flash tuner ive got sitting here (i dont trust the generics). Btw my 2 mates had a go aswell, 2007 BF MK2 XR6 - 15.436 2005 BA MK2 XR6 - 15.6-- Despite my car being slightly modified, they werent too happy that the AU is faster haha. I only did one run, as i was a little spooked at the smoker pouring out the front wheel wells and the headlights, but noticed that that stone tray was hanging and melted a little, lol, im really considering gettings an XR50 kit as my front bumper is tearing at the joints on the drivers side, might replace the stone tray along with it.
