So far Powerful thinking has been revealed: -Six speed auto -Engine details -A few falcon and fairlane pics Next will be protective thinking where they will no doubt point out falcons safety and hopefully reveal Stability control will be in BF. Also planetary thinking (emissions? and economy?) and practical thinking (big family car practicality) are also to be revealed. |

What is the car on the home page, with the two "pipes" sticking out the bonnet?
Is that the new GTHO?.. :dr_Evil:

Ha I don't know what the reveal picture is.. However I doubt pipes like that are ADR legal...
However it appears to have 12 cylinders... Woohhoo! V12 GTHO! If you down load the screen saver, the reval picture is of a peddle powered car? A tank turret and a solar panel car. Cool! Gawd dam it, why isn't there a high res picture of the G8 Fairlane.. BF is shaping up real nice. Should have been BA II. Be interesting to see if ESP works with LSD. AFAIK no bosch ESP works with LSD. So may only be fitted to Fairmonts, Fairlanes and possibly Futura.. BF has convinced me to ditch the 2nd hand 5/7 series idea and instead pick up a 3 year old BF Fairmont Ghia. As long as they drop like stones from a residual point of view.. BA Ghias are now cheap as chips, $20k from dealers. Not even 3 years old, some less than 30,000km.. Fairlanes are quickly catching up tho. Some having dropped into the high 20's even tho they are a year or two newer with even less kms. |

Checkout Ford's new website dedicated to the new BF due for release in October.
Nothing much new at the moment, but may be worth keeping an eye on it over the next couple of weeks as updates are released. Some nice hi-res pics too. www.fordthinking.com.au |

The lower front bars all (well, at least on the 'monts) look a bit focus/fiesta esque to me.
But don't hold me to that... |

The car in the background looks like a Monaro GTS + BA + Mazda 6 + Lancer Evo hybrid monstrosity.
I love it! Is this something, or is it just there to antagonise us? |

Cool, thanks for the link. I didn't like the colours on the wallpaper pics, so I loaded one of them into photoshop...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4..._1024by768.jpg Now I think it's ready to be used for wallpaper...

autonews released a lot of BF and territory pics in the different colors that are upcoming, along with the press releases, but they have since been taken offline, and replaced with more generic pics that don't show the new colours

I have thought that since I saw the car. It looks less VX Commodore, and more like EuroFalcon. It is a good improvement. I think we may see some subtle Orion design features/glimpses in this car.

Interesting quote under the V8 section
The Barra 230 has now been fitted with dual knock sensors, making this vehicle a wonderfully smooth one to drive. Plus it provides an awesome 500Nm of torque for effortless cruising or towing, and a hefty 230kW of power. However, the Boss 260 is still the boss, with its multi-valve, quad cam technology pumping a breathtaking 260kW of power with plenty of torque across the range.

here's some more info that was posted on media website.
* Dynamic Stability Control (ESP) will be standard on selected models (Fairmont Ghia, XR6T, XR8, Fairlane/G8/LTD, Territory Ghia) )and, unlike the Commodore, is available on the V8 models. * Traction control is standard on all petrol models, including Utes. * Under full throttle, there's a six dB sound reduction (10 dB drop would be approximately half as loud to the human ear.) * To get the 6 dB reduction, they've introduced a 'lofted outer dash.' This is a two-piece part that works as an absorptive barrier to attenuate broad band noise from the engine. The lofted outer dash works in conjunction with the dash panel and firewall to help insulate the driver and passengers, particularly from high frequency annoyance noises. Bitumastic pads and Absorptive roof-liner have also been used. * Retuned exhaust systems. Careful retuning of the exhaust systems on both the Barra 190 I6 and Barra 230 V8 delivers quieter cars with an improvement in the quality of the exhaust note of both engines. This is to meet new noise pollution regs that come in next year. * They're using a new‘Smart’ alternator which spins slower but has a higher output, therefore there is less noise and increased fuel efficiency. * They've made improvements to the sealing, 26% better than the BA apparently. * Territory Ghia gets a reverse camera that works with the ICC screen. It's an option on the TS. * Monotube shock absorbers on all but the basic XL Ute. * Performance brakes standard on XR6 Turbo and XR8 sedans and utes along with an 230 V8 sedan. They are: 322 x 28 mm front disc with pillar vented rotor 328 x 26 mm rear disc with pillar vented rotor. * All SY Territory and BF Falcon models with DSC also feature Cornering Brake Control (CBC) which recognizes if a vehicle is in an oversteer situation during a braking manoeuvre. * The luxury models all get new 17-inch wheels (225/50 R17 94V) There are pics of the new colors on another Ford forum. |

Some other colours, for those of you who agree that the official wallpaper is, well, a little bland:
Yellow BF Falcon Brown BF Falcon

Would someone be able to post up the wallpapers because I can't get them to work. It looks like they are opening them up in a seperate window, and then the window just closes. It's really annoying. Cheers
