Show us your coupe's Customised Interior

After looking at the "show us your coupe" thread I got to thinking about interiors and the fact most of us are pretty conservative with them. I know I was getting my seats re-done in the NOS houndstooth cloth.

I also understand that a lot of people, particularly GT/Cobra owners really have to go for the NOS stuff to keep the originality of their cars.

Also I was looking at the Orange XB Coupe on Australian Muscle Car Sales. This thing has a BA XR6 interior worked into it and it looks FANTASTIC!! Does anyone know this coupe? See link:

Also the photo on the other thread of MEANXBCOUPE's interior really got me thinking.

We'd love to see more custom interior shots and info surrounding them. What was involved? Where did the ideas come from? Who did the work? Cost? Are you happy with it? It's all good info on a part of the car that doesn't get the attention it should.

Love to say I did all of it, but ,I cant sew for #^&$!.
The Boys at Exquisite customs ( were I now work as their head fabricator) did the fabric work, I did the wood work.

Have a good think about what you want to acheive with the car, if mine was a daily driver, I would not have gone for a bone/ beige/ putty color. The few times the car has been out, every time, a new mark appears.
I use Meguires products to clean the suede and carpets ( Meguires carpet and fabric cleaner) and a trade secret is prepsol or turps for stubborn stains/ marks on the vinyl. Works for stock trim too.
When the car went to its first show, we weren't allowed to drive the cars in the Sydney Olympic pavillion, so it was pushed in at about 1.30 in the morning. The tilt tray driver helped out. With greasy gloves on!. I didnt notice untill the show opened at 7.30 that morning.

Thanks, they are on both doors, center console, the panel in the back and also in the boot.

Glad you brought up about the marks as I did think it would get a little grubby as its a colour I was intending to do. I was a little worried about it as I do use the car alot. Might go back to black as per original but fitted carpet and a bit of black suede accents ..... all yet to be decided on!

I don't know how we are going to go with putting our son in the back once Gary decides to put the two bucket seats in. We chose the colours before we found out we were having a baby. No eating or drinking applies to everyone who gets in the car and no dirty work clothes or shoes!!! I freak out when I see a mark on the interior.

Looks great! Clean, customised but defiantley Landau! Love the idea of the dash insert and works well. Nothing seems to be really altered and could be all put back to original easily ...... not that you would want to though!!!

thanks i like the look of the standard landau interior as you know it seams to spin people out when they find out that rear bucket seats are factory so i kept rear seats and trim factory .I slightly modified the original gauge panel .i replaced the clock with factory tacho out of falcon. fits in perfectly and looks factory and now finished it off with the custom one

The skull eyes on the foot pedals, gear shifter and skulls eyes around the DVD player all light up! It's a bit of fun!

Hey Colin
Its a Full Billet Steering wheel made by Dragway (SW64) which I had wrapped in Leather as I kept burning my hands on it on hot Days. It has the same Flame Design as our Dragway Mags. Also not in the Pics is a Billet Flame rear view mirror with the same flame design. Gotta Love Flames!!!

We have found that the roll cage doesn't get in the way too much as it is only 4 point cage(half cage). Bit squishy when you try to get in the back - Our son hits his head everytime he gets in and out - but other than that, we don't have any issues with it.

I think it is more of an issue trying to negotiate your feet over the racing harnesses as they are bolted to the floor behind both seats.

What about you Colin? Do you find it hard with the full cage??

We have the standard seatbelts still in the car and these are the ones we use. The racing harnesses do not get used. We fitted them to see how they would look and never took them out.
