I noticed one of my pulleys was a bit clattery when I changed my belt a couple of months ago, and came across this today...
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GENUINE-F...item3a6b692380 (A kit of two genuine ford pulleys) So how do you replace these pulleys, do you need a special tool or press to remove them? I saw mention in another thread about undoing 4 bolts, but I can't see anything like that on the ebay pics. Are they missing something? Alternatively, could I just replace the entire tensioner assembly? I have to go to Bayford to pick up a heater pipe o-ring so I figured I may as well do this at the same time. |

There is a bolt on the back, 1/2" from memory .

Remove the tensioner assembly, then each wheel is held on by a single bolt. Did the pulleys come with the bearings in them? Those bearings are the part that goes and can be carefully pressed out with a hammer and socket , but usually you can buy pulleys with the bearings already fitted.

I bought nuline pulleys that are metal with bearings that can be pressed out.

I went to Bayford spares (Campbellfield) today and they did the $42 deal for me. I think it's usually about $5 more if you just buy the two idlers separately.
I can hold the middle and spin the wheel freely so I guess it includes the bearings. |
