I'm making up a 32GB usb flash drive playlist to take with me on a long road journey and need some recommendations.
What do you think is the best all-time driving song? One that makes you want to steer the steering wheel from side to side in enjoyment. Something that makes you feel happy or wholesome or gives you a rush or makes you think "wow we live in a big massive world and theres thousands of kms between me and my wife and kids." Or just plain makes a good tune. Thanks in advance. |

Orange Blossom Special. Flat & Scruggs version, not Hansie’s shocker. Hellecasters if you must.
Foggy Mountain Breakdown, in the same vein. |

32Gb should fit a lot of songs
i ran 8Gb ones and never used all songs oh and one thing that p!ssed me using them was it always seemed to start from the first song on the stick and youd have to keep skipping songs if you didnt want to listen to them and skipping a lot of songs can take a lot of time

CCR - Proud Mary, Lookin' Out the Back Door, and every other CCR song! Queen - all 3 compilation CDs. I've got mine on a 16gb (not full) - just loaded every CD I had into the PC then onto the USB - over 40 CDs. It's surprising how soon they repeat if you are in the car a lot. Only drawback is I had to load the wife's CDs also, so lots of Rod Stewart crooning songs. I drew the line at her Christmas CDs! Cheers.

Best ever driving music depends on where you are, where you're going and what mood you're in. I'll listen to anything from Pink to Frank Zappa depending on my mood but,
Where to start,,, so many choices... I started to compile a list of songs but soon realized what to listen too was as much about when as it was about what. So with that in mind, out on the road, when I'm not listening to podcasts, during the day it's usually live and loud. Aussie pub rock is a fave of mine so things like... Cold Chisel - Swingshift - Barking Spiders Live INXS - Live Baby Live The Angels - Livewire Midnight Oil- Oils on the Water (Goat Island) Night time tends to be more mellow - Pink Floyd- anything from 72 onwards Black sorrows JJ Cale Dire Straits Bondi Cigars old blues ...the list goes on.

First check your car will play a 32gb stick.
My FG2 and FGX wont...maybe its a USB brand thing?? I have a 16Gb one and drove from Cairns to Adelaide and back without a repeat but. Mine plays from the last song played not starting at the beginning. |

i think its in the way you format the stick for use and the file attributes the songs are in

Just copied them as MP3's...the 16 worked the 32 didnt...
The Angels... Screaming "No Way Get F..... F... Off" while driving in traffic...that gets you some funny looks. Best saved for the open highway. |
