Just got back from N.Z were my brother and myself entered an XP Falcon in near mint condition and a Mk2 Cortina GT...
The theme is 50's to 70's with music etc also... Cars are pre 1980 with any type being hot rods to cruisers... My bother nickname is sausage fingers... Aha don't know why... ; ; ; Cortina GT.. ; The F150 and the T bird where prizes for entrants who pick which car they wanted and they auctioned the other car off... The winner picked the F150 and the T bird sold for $21,000.. http://www.beachhop.co.nz/ Short vid of cars .. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3sKc...eature=related

Ha just arrived in Whanga this arvo, passed a few classics on their way out. It really is a great event.
Shame that one of the main TV news progammes gave it a negative story last week and linked it to a completely unrelated multi fatal accident south of Waihi last year.... ******'s |
