Now that no more Falcons are being produced I thought Id see if there were still a few new ones available.
A carsales search came up with 266 new Falcons available - which was mostly XR6 but there are still a few Sprints which apparently are going to be collectables.. Should I have been surprised when I saw 945 brand new 0 kilometre Territory's advertised? For whatever reason I though the last few would have been made to order, and if people didn't get their orders in quickly they would miss out, guess I was wrong Because there's still opportunity to get one of the last locally produced Fords!

A lot of those numbers are not physical cars. There are ads for each model in each colour that lead you to a dealer simply as a lead enquiry.
That said, it will be interesting to see if the existing stock goes stale and sits for ages or whether the public feel an end of era patriotism. |

But I wouldn't be impressed if they didn't have what they are advertising.

I think most Ford dealers just want to forget as quickly as possible about the "Falcon Era" and move on. |

We ordered our G6E and picked the matching alloy spare option, class 4 towbar and slimline weather shields thinking there'd be no dramas.Once our dealer confirmed they could get the car they said the matching alloy option wasn't available as Ford locked all production options at the start of the year but we could buy it through the Parts dept for $650, $400 dearer than the advertised option on the Ford website.Towbar was no problems but the weather shields were unavailable due to an issue with the tinting on them at the last minute.
The dealer helped us out where they could and did a deal for us but when I asked Ford Australia why can't I have the options you advertise they weren't interested. A week before we picked it up a lady from Ford rang offering us $1000 off a new Ranger or Territory,I said we'd already ordered a G6E and were waiting for it to be built and she said we should have spoken to Ford first and gotten a good deal on a new Ford. Then I explained that a G6E is a Ford. |

Is there 15K to put it on the road?
there was plenty of talk about and articles about them being 55K plus on roads late 2014 -early 2015 http://www.drive.com.au/motor-news/f...03-10pluv.html now a few dealers want 80K plus

They would be part of the dealer delivery kit that Ford supplies to the dealer for pre delivery.

PFFT BS, why would they supply gloves.
The towie probably left them on the bonnet while filling out the paperwork and d!ckheads on forums are now looking for Ford pre delivery gloves. Soon the local GT hops will start selling predelivery gloves too... There is one born every minute. Last edited by Stefan; 26-10-2016 at 07:35 AM. |

Lucky the towie wasn't eating a Kit Kat and dropped the wrapper while delivering the car, some people would be convinced there is pre-delivery chocolate.

Ah, I have a slight problem. New place has only a covered carport. I have 4 cars and a caravan . While I can easily store the caravan off site, it looks like a couple of cars have to go - but which ones?
