Default au 5 spd

did ford make an au 5 speed forte ? years ago when i was hunting around for one . ford said they only did 5 speed in s pack and xr

Nik I am no expert but the four speed manuals were quote as having quicker times than 5 speeds.

You could get 5 manual in Forte, S, SR, XR and T-series IIRC and possibly Futura

There were NO 4 speed manual Falcons after XF

Yep, you're right, you are definately no expert. The last 4spd manual Falcon was the XF.

AU Forte had a manual as standard, but most people chose the auto, and IIRC it was made a no-cost option during the AUII

Unfortuntely not, the only manual V8's were XR8's and T-Series.

nup,go the trading post and type in V8 manual 1998-2001 forte and there will be one or two ive seen i dont know about write now but a few weeks ago there was a coulpe when i bought my EL GLi V8.

Just checked, couldn't find any manual V8 Forte's, or any manual V8's apart from XR8's and T-Series. I also looked on www.carsales.com.au in the for sale section and in the car research section. No mention of any V8 manuals apart from the cars I just listed.

futura's were all auto since EL afaik. Also, only TE50 were available in manual if i recall correctly out of the T series range.

In the AU Forte's could be optioned as manuals and V8 manuals not futiras or fairmonts though

T2 and T3 TS50 had manual avaliable too... T1's didnt though

My brother has an AU1 forte 5 SP, 7 months ago we got it for $11000 with 17 in alloys, lowered and black interior.

They are as rare as hens teeth, I was looking for three months almost everyday on carsales, carpoint and the trading post before I found a good one, although I only saw about 5 all up for sale.
