Just discovered this thread while looking around the e-series stuff.
Glad you all liked the videos. Still debating whether to move the car on or just keep it to haul out to the track whenever I get the urge. Still got that XR6 head to fit and been thinking about a converter as well. Any other budget orientated stuff I should try? |

Well you can only sell it for $1,300 lol
Your car rocks - very impressed. The vids are cool & I have referred ppl to them when thinking about changing diff gears themselves and how to remove the sound deadener Xr6 has bigger valves so should help with a better 1/4 mile time - you can give the ports a tickle as well

BUT I did have a engine I built a few years ago that cost me 800 - 900 back then

And that's N/A as well
If your going to run nos then you need a few little " tweaks" to your motor But first get yourself a VL fuel pump and that will get ya nos up to 150hp and on a stock motor that's all you would ever want to run

What did you do to it to run 13s for $500? The engine is coping with a 125hp shot at the moment pretty easy with the standard fuel pump, but I'd like to throw it on a dyno and see what the air/fuel is doing at high rpm. Last edited by blownvn; 08-11-2011 at 09:19 PM. |

Sorted ^^ up there told me about your links when you where doing it .. So I did some of what you did to the body and stripped it ... The rest is just a motor
I built the motor myself as a stock build .. But I ported the head heaps And got a decent cam Years ago I used to run a EL on LPG ... Then I put nos to it ... I had some fun

Might have to try porting this XR6 head if there's that big a gain in it.

there is a huge gain in doing head work .
I have been building these motors since they come out and been doing cylinder heads since XFs
