Default Part# does not add up

Anyone struck unusual part numbers? My T3 engine has the 82mm throttle body which ford and the data base say should be 9E926 A but mine is 9E927 AB with an aftermarket engraved number 28 after the batch details. Ford says cant be right but it is. anyone struck these anomolies before or did I just ask the wrong people at ford.

They weren't 82mm on the 200kw and 220kw of series one and two. 70mm on both.

200kw has 65mm TB, and 220kw has 70mm (Tickford winged) TB.

Partt numbers on parts are not always the right ones. The numbers that are engraved in parts are ENGINEERING numbers and NOT always numbers that Spare Parts uses. That's more likely the problem here? Don't forget, majority of parts for V8's come from America. They do NOT always use the SAME numbers we do here in OZ.

Finally found someone at ford that struck it before and he said simply that the stamped part number is not aleays an exact match to the data base. It is the australian made for tickford item and is around the sixteen hundred mark to buy. Hope the sucker doesn't stuff up then.
