Hi guys, just wondering if anyone here has ever been treated with cyclophosphamide (a drug used in chemotherapy), and if yes what side effects (if any) it may have had . My four year old Liam (the one with nephrotic syndrome) is about to start an 8 week course of the stuff along with his usual huge doses of prednisolone, and as much as the doctors tell you all the possible side effects, I was hoping to hear from someone first hand.
Cheers in advance Bec

I worked in a Angiography lab as a theater tech for over two years here in WA, and the cases I've seen have all had good outcomes.
Is he having spheres injected, or getting a neph tube? Apart from people being advised to keep clear of the patients immediately after the injections, I've not seen any major side effects that a doctor wouldn't normally discuss. However, I'm no physician, so don't take my word as gospel. But you can feel pretty safe knowing modern chemo has come a long way in recent decades, and plenty of people have it done safely all the time. |

No thankfully he does not have to have actual chemo, just take the 50mg tablets daily (still decent dose for his age and size), therefore hoping side efffects will be mild.
