read bout this ok, so it started as a ferrari enzo yes thats right a 2 million dollar ferrari but this wasnt good enough for the owner so another 6 million later this is what you get. Single bolt on wheels (v8 supercar style) all fibreglass and carbon fibre and that windshield is actually one piece with the windows and rear windows they cut it to suit the doors etc. So thats what a ferrari enzo and 8 million will get you, still has the same power output as an enzo as the engine hasnt been touched but still just to show what a bit of money can do to a car.

That looks like the next Batmobile : . The back end looks a bit queer. :

Sad....
For $8 Million, I could build something much faster, , that had a leather recliner for the drivers seat and a fridge in the back and drove using an X-box controller ! AC/DC |

Can't say I like it that much either (maybe the colour is killing it).. the first pic it looks ok.. but the next two!! Seriously don't like the rear end at all..
That is a disgusting amount of money spent on a car that does not look fantastic IMHO .

For $8 mill you could custome make a Typhoon that would smoke anything on the planet... plus it would be a sleeper like nothing else.
But it would still be a Falcon. I've always said there are two kinds of rich people. Those with taste buy Porsches and the tossers/posers buy Ferraris. Why else would Lleyton Hewitt and Shane Warne be famous Ferrari drivers? This guy is clearly the later, rather be seen than actually buy the thing for driver enjoyment, otherwise he'd at least have done somehting to it, exhaust or turbo or something.

the porsche ferrari comment is open to opinion i find porsches boring and the rr drivetrain leaving some to be desire so i would take a ferrari but thats my opinion.
what would you rather this guy do with his 8mil? buy an aeroplane? at least he has done something unique there are worse ways to spend money. there is a car club here in sydney for all the poshies thats 30k per year to join. for a 8million dollar typhoon to be a sleeper it would have to look stock. meaning stock shaped panels standard ride height etc etc a stock bodied typhoon would not give it to everything on the planet especially in aerodynamics. the ba is a big brick. 8mil to build a phoon that would smoke an f1 car? youd probably need more than that. maybe in a straight line but that is a squiggen of what it takes to beat everything on the planet. and by the way i think that ferrari is a very nice and definately got some styling cues from earlier ferraris and f1 cars. Definately the rear.

Not Porsche v Ferrari again.
Both companies make awesome cars and have long histories. Id take models from either company. Last edited by MethodX; 24-08-2006 at 03:55 PM. |
