736kW? That's a new one.. was supposed to be 747kW (1001bhp)... and I've also heard it's nailed 0-300km/h in 14 flat on the day it did the 407km/h top speed record run.

Bugatti claims it makes 1001bhp using the french CV measurement. The Veyron actually makes 987bhp or 736kw.

was reading about it too on "how stuff works", says it uses 5 litres of fuel a minute and sucks in 45'000litres of air a minute. (i am guessing thats at peak power)

Dunno how it can be 4 WRX engines bolted together ... it's a W-formation engine ... not boxer.

Is this car finally ready for production ... have been waiting for it for a couple of year now ... they have had nothing but problems with the prototypes when testing ... leaks and breakages ... and internal arguments within the company as well.

The Veyron has been around for a while now ... it had the highest claimed speed ... but not for a production car ( as it really wasn't in production at the time).

Its two VW/Audi 4.0litre V8's sharing a common crankshaft. VV = W. Get it? 8.0litre W16.

Its on the cover of this months Motor mag. It now has the title of worlds fastest production car, 407kmh. At full throttle it uses 100 litres per 100 k's and can accelerate to 300 in 14 seconds.

Give it a year, someone will mod one and make it faster. Hmmm, AMG should have a go at it.
