Just thinking about Haltech engine management systems. They can be installed on a AU ford and allow you to programm your own mixtures as you go via your laptop computer. I think this has got to be good.As for safety parameters for guys like myself..well small increments and road testing are the best teacher!!!
Has anyone had experience with these?I know ba 16 are being raced with them. |

There are some good EMS systems out there as well (stinger & 8860). Saloon cars run the cheap stingers and get 160rwkw out EAs with just a few other mods (mild cams, exhaust and intake mods, no real headwork). With E-series cars (and AU's as well) the loom has to be split so that the new engine management engine can run the car while the ford computer can keep running the instruments and the rest of the crap.
BTW: What is it with the 16 engines? Is it just a l33t way of writing I6?

I think Spiro is an agent for Haltech as well.Might be worth to ask about his ideas on it.

A haltech would be just like any other wire in computer wouldnt it?. For example my Wolf.
I still run the auto John. They can wire in the new computer to run your engine and still retain the the stock computer to run the auto.
