I just bought an 04 fiesta zetec at a bargain price. However, it has 17000ks on it and the previous owner has not even taken it in for its first service. To make matters worse I cant open the bonnet ...i think the cable is busted or sumthing?
Anybody know how to open the bonnet without using the lever in the car?

Hey... mind me asking how much? And what colour... thinking of getting rid of mine soon.
You might need a new cable. Easy fix is to lightly press down on the front of the bonnet... whilst opening the bonnet from the inside - hence a two person job! Sometimes it is the circle things in the engine bay that need adjusting... which raise or lower the bonnet; hence putting or releasing pressure on the cable

ahhh cheap, thats a good price! well i feel ripped off ($15300/13000ks/SEPT04 model/bought in NOV 05), im just going to pretend i didnt read how much u paid;)
AAMI was the cheapest for me also $1050 pa, would be cheaper but im in the age bracket where apparently i cant drive cause the rest of sydneys 20yr olds cant.

Put those stickers on and you'll be banned. No Ford should EVER be riced!!!!!
Nice looking car. Just ensure your warranty is still intact. If a car hasn't been serviced according to plan, Ford can void the entire thing. Get is serviced as quickly as humanly possible. You should still be ok, the 3000km complimentary inspection is not a fluid/filter change so you'll still be totally safe.

Looks nice man, save the shopping lists on the side. It'd look good in place on a jap import but on a euro car ... =/ The stripes look aiight, have a look at the Wolf strips on the UKFN. The wing you can get the same from SWA (: Other than the side list and the coloured bumper it looks sweet (:
lol now don't I feel ripped off? I paid roughly about 20-21k for my auto lx with a/c, spoiler, mudthings! >_____< and that was with the ford employee discount! lol |

Yes they are stuck on so it is a sticker but its not like its not ment to be there. The reason the pioneer sticker is on the front is becuase the euroford one is on the back. And i dont think it is rice. There are worst things out there than stickers.

Can't stripes go on the Bonnet? Roof?
And if you are going to tell me "They are GT stripes for the Door..." Then i ask; do you have a GT?

Sorry, I will stop ИИИИИing (arguing)... I'm just bored and taking the ИИИИ (weeeee) out of you. Sorry :(
The Stripes are unique... not my taste; I'd rather the Fiesta without. But it is your car in the end. *EDIT* I hate these ИИИИИИИИИИs... LOL

Oh na i didnt mean it like that. Side/Bonnet/Roof stripes are all good and are not rice. I know they are not GT stripes hence i dont drive a GT duh.
End of discussion. i am no longer gonna ИИИИИ. this is frinik's thread about bonnect release not about RICE or stripes.

1)its all photoshop fun ....
2)stickers make the car go faster 3)i think ill just get the rims and be done with ...ill save my money for another jap import. what made me change from jap to euro? ...well i was running low on funds and the fiesta zetec came up as a bargain purchase...i done some reading on it and it seemed like a nice drivers car... if i wasnt going to have another turbo jap import i was going to get one of the smaller more efficient cars to drive to save some dosh, be it ozzy made, euro or jap ...i dont really have a preferance ...so long as its a nice car. ps. im not even sure if hks, greddy or apexi make stuff for euro cars ..hehehe pss. bonnet opens now..thanks teki

Just a quick one,
It seems ive got like a kinda bump on the bonnet near where you would push down to close it. its about 10 or so cm across. Just wonder in if anyone else has noticed this?

Happened to me too, have you had any problems closing your bonnet? when I first got the car it took me about 4 slams to close it. Ford fixed the bonnet and catch under warranty.

Um, when i first got the car it was all fine, there was no dent but i think gradually its buckling as its a bit hard to close now with the pod setup. Im currently looking at some other options to weaken the problem
