Default Car doesnt sit straight?

Hi

Ive noticed in my EB, and in a few of the other E-Series Ive owned, they dont sit straight, they sit on a slant, passenger side lower then the drivers.

Ive got new shocks in the back, just some Monroe Gas, with standard shocks in the front, and King spring superlows all around, with 1.5 coils cut off the back..

Now from the front and back the car is sitting on a slant, passenger side sloping down.

Anyone else have this issue?

Anyone else know why it would sit like that?

Didnt used to bother me that much, but now its really ****ing me off! Its the whole left side of the car, not just the front or back..

Thanks

petrol tank

oh also front?

umm maybe theres just more stuff on that side, try getting the car on a set of 4 point "Scales" i dunno how easy it would be to find some, but something like a weigh bridge which can measure how much kg is over each wheel. im sure its not "bent" or somehting its just heavier on the left side.

Yeah I always thought petrol tank as well, but it sits even on each side, just to a slant, if you get what I mean.

I just got the car on LPG today, so the back sits even lower now, but still to one side.

I reckon if the chassis was bent though it wouldnt sit so evenly to one side. Noticed it in a few other E-Series as well..

Drivers side is built to be approx 10mm higher at the front than the left, so that when driver only is in the car, the car sits flat. True rumour!!! Seriously, I was told that a few years ago when I had my EF lowered.

After lowering, my EL sits around 5mm higher at the front right compared to front left. Rear is within about 3mm of each other.

Default I think know why

The car needs to "sit" evenly only when it's moving. It will not move without the driver.
So when the driver is inside the car should be sitting straight-
what do you think?

lol, thats weird though...... is it possible to get shocks that can increase the left hand side by 10mm so the car can sit level?........how did ford actually make the car sit 10mm higher on the left? if it was the springs then getting superlow all rounds should even it out, unless the shocks are different lenghts aswell..... i havnt noticed this on my car though, as the springs and shocks have been replaced with aftermarket ones.

I'd say it's the spring seat. This is only what I was told by a suspension place - never had it verified by Ford though.

It would probably have something to do with a more balanced ride. When your in it it would help keep the car more stable I spose.
Mines like it as well.
While were on the topic of odd things. Has anyone noticed the rear wheels not centred? My right hand side I can fit 2 fingers between the wheel and guard, and the left only one, or maybe the other way around.

Petrol tank LOL. Cmon guys, seriously. His back springs have obviously been cut un-even. I can explain more but i dont think the term G-Spec is allowed on here.

There is no chance of that at all, I cut exactly 1.5 coils off and they were measured correctly.

I also measured mine correctly and it ended up lopsided. Maybe they not seated correctly ?

The nerve of you Dave, how dare you question my spring chopping skills! I've chopped many springs in my day, and all to precise perfection :

They are seated correctly, and we only cut the back.. so then the whole left side wouldnt sit to a slant if only the backs where cut un-evenly?

my xh ute did the same thing: left hand side was lower..
maybe its cause theres more potholes/ bumps on the left of the road and we turn right around roundabouts more than left?? lol maybe not.
