ORSMXR RUNS QUICKEST TIME

Hi guys just letting you know went to Calder last night and had a orsm night at the track and ran a 13.3 @107mph full street trim (sp9000) no nittos here.

Must thank Chris at Bluepower Racing for tuning of the car,as this has surely got the car running quick.

Cant wait to go back out as l know l can squeeze more out of this car with street tyres and then we will throw the nittos on and who knows could see the first Ba XR8 in the 12's

Congrats on a great time Chris...after seeing you drive at Heathcote I knew it wouldn't take long before you were down to the 13.3's and I suspect it will only get lower.

WIth some nittos ( or similar) you are knocking on the door of a 12 without doubt.

Cheers

Brad

So many Chris' here I'm getting confused. You were pretty confident the other night mate, excellent job! Yeh, those sticky tyres are good for 3000+rpm launches, the Dunlops aren't, time's a wastin' buddy....get those new tyres.

Chris's (bluepower racing) ran a pb of 13.70 standard ute with stock zorst and edit

And Chris in the other ute ran a pb of 13.65 from a 13.82 totally stock with edit.

Congrat's Chris. I won't say too much here cause I have NO DOUBT that this PB is only temporary and sure to get even better.
Chris at Bluepower deserves huge praise as well cause I know how dedicated he is with the Boss and any performance work in fact.
Excellent work guys. Let the "good times" roll.

hehehe I think this one's more of a "free range" clutch. I'm also working on a new "high stall" clutch.

Chris, i was just looking at the mph runs on the EDIT type tune. Now i am a little curious and more interested in that all cars with the tune are running around the 107 mph.Even with those with better ET times it still is around that MPH.Is this maybe that the cars are running over the line with less revs as they are tuned to rev higher throught the rev range.Just interested maybe with some diff gears these cars may benefit more than say the other type vechiles with a rev limit of 5900.

Hey man, it was good air last night, you would have run a PB bro.

The part throttle transient part of the tuning map is greatly improved with the edit. Getting a car down the qtr quick is all in the 330 time, so we havent concentrated on straining every last rwkw out of these cars. They do have inherent problems like oil pumps and manifold airflow drama's, so we aren't as interested in outright power.

I think the edited cars accelerate faster. Orsm had sp9000's, and it was a woeful 60 ft time, yet his car has far less rwkw than u think. the edit has made it a much tighter package all round.

We limit the cars to 6000. no point in any more, they are at their valvespring/conrod and oil pump limit right there.

The tune in ORSMXR's car is a variation of PHANTOM XR8's tune.

After a dyno session and some consultation with Simon (GTP330), we came up with a tune for Orsmxr.

Simon talked me into becoming an SCT dealer when i started feigning interest, and has been mentoring me since. I am proud to say that I am an agent for his tunes in Vic.

Orsmxr's needed customising, and with Simon on the line and some dyno runs, the results are here.

He's not a bad bloke Simon, I think we will do some real damage together. (LS1's LOOK OUT!!)

Well mate the XR8's are going to run pretty close to the same mph with the base cars all being close, we have a Phantom who ran 108 but he has a couple of mods over these guys, all in all i think that these guys have done both Chris and myself proud with them putting there cars on the track and doing some good runs.

Chris youve done Xtreme proud mate, _2: i always knew i made the right choice in talking you into helping me and getting a drag racer with experience to help make our blue blooded friends take it to the dark side.

No turning back now, your a lap top nerd, :hihi: :
