Default Has anybody hunted down their first car?

I would love to know where my first car is these days. I'd buy it in a flash. Anybody buy their first car years after they parted with it?

I know where my first car is. The new owner lives on a Main Rd, so I see it fairly often.

Mine is in Townsville, living down the road from my girlfriends sister.
I was surprised it made it up there! Now it has a nice set of 18" wheels and an improved exhaust insted of a straight through with a cannon, So illegal and all this on a excel. When i look back i just think, what the **** was i doing?

But she lasted me which was surprising seeing how it was driven to rev limiter every gear everyday

Love to find it!
A 1953 Austin A-30 four door, was light blue with a white roof, finally sold it (traded it in actually) in about 1985/6 and reportedly it got sold to a guy who drove it up to Tully in north Queensland. Rego number was 263-NSF...

I had a really sad end to my first car. Sold it then 2 years later where i was working it ended up being parked in the car park for about 3 weeks and i wanted to put a note on it asking if they wanted to sell it as i had put alot of time into fixing it up. Then one day it was gone 2 days later i get a call from a mate who found it on top of a hill burnt out and stripped. I went and saw it, was a sad day. Stil to this day regret selling it

still regret selling it everyday, but i did get the opportunity to see that it was being looked after about 6 months after i sold it when i stumbled across it in Claire parked on the main street, exactly as i last saw it.
That car was the greatest car in the world bar none.

I bought my first registered car in 1994 which was a 1993 EB2 GLi in Sandstone colour. I lowered it as low as it would go and put a 15" platinum colour EB GT style wheels on it then added XR6 badges. I now live in another town and its in the same neighbourhood. still missing 1 centrecap off the back mag which was missing when I traded it back in 1995

My first, first car (1980 XD) is still sitting in the shed at work, waiting for me to get around to finishing it (for when I got my licence was the intention).

The first car I ended up with on the road (1979 XD Ghia) is now sitting in a paddock on the NSW north coast dying a slow, painful death.

Dad's mate that bought it, drove it for awhile, until it ran out of oil and brake disks most likely. Because it never occurs to him to add oil, or change the brake pads, or treat a car with any respect.

I know someone backed a bus into it, and he ripped the back seat out to fit more of his old truck parts into it. Then he decided he was going to "do it up" in his spare time to show it. Along with the trucks he hasn't finished and his converted bus motorhome. He has no mechanical ability at all, so it's just not going to happen.

I am glad I don't have to see it around the yard at work though. I was VERY angry when I found out who bought it. For an "old" car it was great. I actually looked after it.

The day I brought the XR into work for the first time, he told me he'd buy it too when I was interested in selling it.
