What sort of K's have people put on their MA Mondeo TDCi's and has anyone had any major drama's with them?
Are there any common problems that have been seen in these cars either here or in Europe and how are they aging?

I did 65k in 3.5 in my MA, only drama was the tyres because I thought I could string them out. Averaged 8.5 l/100 ams over the 65k.
Sold it to my brothers wife, they haven't had any dramas.

Basically I have the option of picking up a relatives company car in the next 2-3 months *if* I want to.
I have a rough idea of how much i'll have to pay for it, but the catch is the number of k's on it. However while it does have a lot of k's on the clock, probably 95+% are highway, with the car doing 200km on the highway 5 days a week. Trying to work out if its worth even considering given the high number of K's.

Last time I checked this car had 160k. ;)
Only "major" issues I can remember it having were a new alternator at ~150k and an electrical issue the week it was delivered (loose wires). At the end of the day it will probably depend on what the fleet people want for it....but...if there are any known mechanical issues with these cars I probably wont even consider it......

Check out Talkford.com. Someone there had done well over 100,000 kms in a petrol Mondeo without problems.
The diesel is made by Peugeot and should be fine for many more kms. I think it needs a cambelt at about 150,000 kms so would pay to check if this has been done. Highway use is far easier on a car than city driving and I wouldn't let the mileage put you off. I'd go for it if you can get it at the right price.

I had a "computer says no" issue about a year ago that left me stranded but was fixed under warranty and the aircon regassed at about 70,000km under warranty, but those issues aside its a great car with excellant economy,on a recent road trip it did almost 1100km before refill, that included some city driving and in temps' between 30-40 degrees in out back SA.

Didn't end up getting it, lease company end of lease payout was more then I was prepared to pay given the number of kilometers.
Tell you what though, the new Titanium that replaced it is much nicer to drive, doesn't give that "gutless" feeling down low.
