Yeah - this sort of stuff happened when I was in Canberra.
I'm pretty sure after that, they used some sort of security screw to attach the plates. Other pranks were letting the tyres down, shinning MASSIVE spotlights into the van, and throwing food at the back window of the van. I laughed one day when I saw a pizza delivery guy pull up next to the van once - lol.
