it's not a stait swap as the windscreens are different, a couple of people have done it, one guy cracked his windscreen lol. So yeah it can be done but it's a bit dodgey.

aren't the shells the same, so all that should need doing is changing the wiper rack setup and the grill thing it sits in

pretty much, im doing the conversion.

there is a little strip that you have to grind out, which is in the way of the wiper motor... i havent done this yet,

you have to change the wiper motor as the EA one is physically huge compared to the eb2 on one, and makes the cowling panel sit up too much....

the eb2 on windscreen is physically about 2 inches longer...

then the rest pretty much fits up...
you'll have to relocate one of your vin plates as the eb2 on cowling covers it (put it in the same location as the EB2 one!!! nowhere else)

im just waiting untill my bonnet is off when the new engine goes in so i can do the grinding part, then its new screen, wiper motor and fit up properly time...

my opinion, unless you're REALLY keen to do this mod, i'd just get some matt black and paint your existing cowling, and be done with it....

Seems like alot of effort for very little gain. Most people wouldn't even notice.

I think Jason (EA2BA) has done it. It's a big job, and I agree hardly anyone would notice.

yeah i have done, cause i wanted to, i do mods for me, not for other people

i have it sitting heaps better since i swapped a few more bits around, its never going to be a perfect fit without swapping the windscreen though, but think outside the square and go for it, if people say it cant be done, then it must be possible .... LOL

Jason, sorry, I wasn't saying that I don't like the mod, just that I wouldn't bother doing it myself! If I tried I'd screw it up anyway! It does look a lot nicer than the standard EA one and isn't as prone to fading, but it is a big job to do.

Just out of interest, did the NC2/NC3s come out with the EBII cowling?

I gotta keep a *bit* of EB1 in my car, so the cowling will stay for meeee :P
